§ Sir Hector Monro asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the timetable for major road improvements on the A75 Gretna-Stranraer trunk road.
§ Mr. Younger:"Roads in Scotland 1980" listed nine major improvement schemes to be carried out on the A75 over the next five years; in addition, it is intended that a trunk road bypass of Dumfries should be constructed after 1985. This timetable must, however, be subject to amendment should public expenditure considerations require it.
