§ Mr. Cryer asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will introduce legislation to provide an enlarged travel aid scheme for those seeking employment.
§ Mr. Peter Morrison:Travel assistance for unemployed job seekers is currently available under the job search scheme administered by the Manpower Services Commission. It is kept under review and its rules are amended from time to time to meet changing circumstances. Neither I nor the Commission has any plans at present to extend it.
