Mr. Hooley asked the Lord Privy Seal what contribution has been made by the United Kingdom to the United Nations educational and training programme for Southern Africa in each of the years 1975 to 1981; and what percentage of the total funds in the programme was contributed by the United Kingdom in each of those years.

The British contribution to the United Nations education and training programme for Southern Africa in each of the years 1975–1981 and the percentage which that contribution represented of the total funds in the programme was as follows:

Mr. Hooley asked the Lord Privy Seal how many students currently studying in the United Kingdom are financed through the United Nations educational and training programme for Southern Africa.

Eighty-one students currently studying in the United Kingdom are financed through the United Nations education and training programme for Southern Africa.
