§ Sir William Clark asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he will publish the Government's proposed consultative paper on the tax treatment of rights issues under approved profit sharing schemes.
§ Mr. Ridley: The consultative paper was published on 28 August, and was given publicity in an Inland Revenue press release. A copy has been placed in the Library, and further copies are available on request from the Inland Revenue at Somerset House.
