Mr. Cook asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many graduate and non-graduate entrants were admitted to Certificate of Qualification for Social Work courses in Scotland in 1980 and 1981.

Mr. Allan Stewart:

I am informed by the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work that 192 graduates and 278 non-graduates were admitted to courses in 1980. The figures for 1981 are not yet available.
