NB Unless otherwise stated, the figures relate to the Wolverhampton travel-to-work area which comprises Wolverhampton, Bilston and Wednesfield.Notes:* The figure relates to the number of potentially redundant employees who were supported under the TSTWCS at the end of September.†Number supported at 13 October 1981.† The figure relates to the number of entrants to the programme between 1 April 1981 and 31 August 1981 in the Wolverhampton local authority district.** The figure comprises the number of people who were on projects funded under the programme at the end of August in the Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton local authority districts.†† At present there is no community industry unit in Wolverhampton. The nearest units are in Birmingham and Coventry-Nuneaton where there may be young people from Wolverhampton participating in the programme.
