§ Mr. RossiYes. The study has shown that it would be technically feasible to fit conventional power assisted steering to a number of small and medium sized production cars. Copies of the report have been sent to the appropriate motor car manufacturers. The technical development committee of Motability which is currently undertaking research, financed by a research and development grant from our Department, into the development of a hand control system for production cars using modern electronic technology has been asked to consider the MIRA report as part of its continuing programme.
