22. Mr. Robert Atkins

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is satisfied with the progress of the scheme to charge tourists for using National Health Service facilities.

Mr. Fowler:

I now expect to receive next month the report of the working party on hospital procedures announced in June. It was hoped to introduce the scheme early in 1982. This is still my intention.
