§ Mr. Durantasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what consideration is being given by the Food Additives and Contaminants Committee to the introduction of aspartame into the United Kingdom for use in food and soft drinks; when the committee is expected to report; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mrs. Fenner:Aspartame is one of the substances currently being evaluated by the Food Additives and Contaminants Committee in its review of sweeteners in food. I expect its report to be available for publication early in 1982.
