§ The Prime MinisterThe chairman of the association wrote to me and to the Minister for Housing and Construction on 13 November, emphasising the need for housing associations to continue to provide homes for rent. A reply will be sent shortly. The Housing Corporation's programme for next year is still under consideration. As the right hon. Gentleman will be aware, the Government have provided some £1,350 million over the last three years to the Housing Corporation for schemes for rented accommodation by housing associations.
