§ Mr. MayhewThe next major international frequency planning conference of interest to broadcasting in the United Kingdom is a two-part conference on vhf sound broadcasting. The first part, which will take place next summer, will be concerned with the engineering aspects of planning. Frequencies will be assigned in the second440W session in late 1984. My right hon. Friend's intention would be to publish proposals for that session nearer the time.
