§ Mr. Marksasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he proposes to put forward amendments to the European Economic Communities draft seventh value added tax directive on used car sales.
§ Mr. Bruce-GardyneThere has been no discussion of the draft directive for about 18 months. In view of the considerable disagreement between member States about the content of the directive it is likely that future progress will require amendments to be made to the draft. It is the responsibility of the EEC Commission to propose such amendments.
