§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will provide financial support to the National Association for Teaching English as a second language to adults.
§ Mr. William SheltonMy Department already provides financial support for the association in the form of a pump-priming grant of £1,500 per annum for the years 1980–81 to 1982–83 to assist it in developing onto a self-financing basis. It has recently offered also to consider sympathetically funding any suitable proposal from the association for a development project in this important area of adult education
