asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will extend eligibility for form MY 265 allowing finance companies to waive the two-year repayment restriction for the purchase of a new car to all registered disabled people; and if he will make a statement.

As the hon. Member knows, this restriction is waived for recipients of mobility allowance. I am not sure that it would be appropriate to extend the same concession to all registered disabled people, but I will discuss the suggestion with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and write to the hon. Member.
