§ Mr. MayhewOn 31 October there were 194 places in bail hostels. No fixed number of places is set aside in 287W other hostels, but on that date 74 out of 267 places in combined probation and bail hostels and 72 out of 1,199 places in probation hostels were occupied by persons on bail.
