Mr. Ted Fletcherasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) if he has any intention of transferring the operation of the teachers' pension scheme located at Mowden Hall, Darlington, to private enterprise;
(2) what proposals he has in mind regarding the future of the teachers' pension scheme which is located at Mowden Hall, Darlington;
(3) if he has any intention of closing the teachers' pension scheme located at Mowden Hall, Darlington.
§ Dr. BoysonThe Department has consulted the local authority associations and teachers' organisations about a number of possible arrangements for the future administration of the teachers' pension scheme. The Department's trade union side has been informed. My right hon. Friend is now considering the position.
