§ Mr. Philip Hollandasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he last carried out an overall review of the need for retaining unchanged both the Administration of Radioactive Substances Advisory Committee and the Committee on Radiation from Radioactive Medical Products; whether in each case he considered alternative sources of advice; and what conclusions he reached.
§ Dr. VaughanThe committees were reviewed in September. They have a largely common membership, but meet separate statutory requirements which other sources of advice could not meet. We are considering whether they can be reduced in size.
