Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Defence why gunner Julius Parker of the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery was dismissed with disgrace from the Army.

Mr. Wiggin

Gunner Parker was sentenced to be dismissed with disgrace from Her Majesty's Service and to 112 days' detention following his conviction on 3 November on three charges of disgraceful conduct contrary to section 66 of the Army Act 1955. This sentence was later mitigated by the appropriate confirming officer to dismissal from Her Majesty's Service and to 42 days' detention.
