§ Mr. Raceasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Birmingham, Stechford (Mr. Davis) on 28 October, Official Report, c. 374, what representations he has received from voluntary organisations and the war pensions committees regarding the future of the war pensions welfare service.
§ Mr. RossiI have not received any representations from voluntary organisations. Some war pensions committees have expressed concern at the possible effect on the war pensioners welfare service of the current reorganisation of the Department's regional offices and of any alteration in the present balance of work for war pensioners as between the Department and the voluntary organisations. I have reassured them on both points.
