§ Mr. Michael Brownasked the Secretary of State for Industry which offshore oil construction yards received assistance from public funds during 1981 and in each case of how much; and if he will give comparable details for 1980 and 1979.
§ Mr. MacGregorThree offers of regional selective assistance valued at £1.3 million were made to offshore oil construction yards under section 7 of the Industry Act 1972 in the period 1979 to September 1981.
It is not the practice to disclose details of such assistance other than in accordance with the arrangements announced by the then Secretary of State for Industry on 31 July 1974.
