§ Mr. Skinnerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if his Department will commission research into the illnesses and ailments associated with exposure to microwave radiation.
§ Mr. Geoffrey FinsbergResearch which has been undertaken in the United States and in this country over a number of years has not indicated a need for further 53W research. The Medical Research Council and the National Radiological Protection Board are, however, keeping the position under review. The board is currently discussing with the Health and Safety Executive's employment medical advisory service the feasibility of a study of people exposed to microwave radiation in industry.
