§ Mr. Hudson Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Wales how many jobs have been created in Wales as a result of the opening of new factories since 1 January 1981; and how many have been lost as a result of factories closing during the same period.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsComprehensive information is not available, but factories which are known to have opened since 1 January promise to provide about 4,400 jobs when fully manned. Over the same period about the same number of jobs have been lost from factories which have closed or are in an advanced stage of closure.
