§ 34. Mr. John Carlisleasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what level of export restitution is being paid on exports of butter to third countries.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithAs at 11 November, the general rate of export refund applicable to butter with a fat-content by weight of 82 per cent. amounted in sterling terms to £711.48 per tonne, net of monetary compensatory amounts. As a consequence of the food aid package for Poland agreed earlier this year, the corresponding figure for exports to that country was £901.61 per tonne. No refunds are payable on butter exported to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
