§ Mr. Michael RobertsTwo quite large schemes, the Maesnewydd improvement and the Derwenlas to Machynlleth improvement, were completed this year. No further improvements are currently envisaged for 1982–83. The possibility of some temporary measures to improve conditions at Furnace bridge—Eglwys Fach are being considered. These might be undertaken in advance of the full bypass scheme which is not currently scheduled for a start until after 1987.
