§ Mr. Altonasked the Prime Minister if Her Majesty's Government will now indemnify county councillor Trevor Brown, an employee of the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment, Aldermaston, who did not disclose any information but was severely reprimanded and retired seven years early.
§ The Prime MinisterNo. Mr. Brown has exercised his right of appeal under normal departmental procedures. He has had every opportunity over a quite considerable period to submit any and all representations which he felt relevant, and he has done so. His appeal has been rejected, and the reasons have been explained to him in detail and in writing. I see no basis on which to justify reconsideration of his case.
