These rates result from the terms of the Community's current trade agreement with Spain, and apply to other Community countries as much as they do to the United Kingdom. Spain's prospective membership of the Community will bring an end to both duties. Meanwhile we continue to emphasise to the Spanish authorities our desire to see early progress in the matter.
