§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will introduce legislation making it illegal for any newspaper or organisation connected with the news media to pay money to, or publish any statements from persons standing trial, or their friends or relatives, until five years after the completion of the trial, excepting evidence given at the trial which the judge may permit to be published.
