The Solicitor-GeneralTo take a photograph of a witness or defendant in a court or in the precincts of a court is an offence under section 41 of the Criminal Justice Act 1925. In all court buildings, notices are posted that photography is not permitted. Persons seen carrying cameras into a court building are not admitted or are asked to leave them at the door.
