§ Mr. FairgrieveI am glad to say that the provisional figures for 1980 confirm the continuing reduction in the perinatal mortality rate in Scotland. The rate has fallen from 21 per thousand in 1975 to 13 per thousand in 1980. In 1980 my right hon. Friend sent to health boards a report on perinatal care by the National Medical Consultative Committee, which he asked them to take account in their planning of the relevant services.
