§ Mr. RifkindThe Government must ensure the continuation of a responsible long-term research programme in the United Kingdom into possible methods of disposing of high level radioactive waste of which geological disposal may be one. Meanwhile, there is no proposal to dispose of such waste in Scotland or elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
