§ Sir George YoungThe Medical Research Council has funded a pilot study to assess the feasibility of testing whether there is any association between exposure to lead at a level of less than 35 micrograms in 100 millilitres of blood and attainment in school children. It has now been asked to consider the form and scope of further study in this area. The Government will shortly be making an announcement about their response to the report of the working party on lead in the environment.
