§ The Prime MinisterWe have just announced increases in child benefit, one-parent benefit, family income supplement and other cash benefits, which will maintain their value and be of particular help to families with children. I am satisfied that, in the present difficult economic circumstances, the level of this support is fair and in line with what the country can afford.
