§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) if the heavier lorries envisaged in the Armitage report and European Economic Community proposals would be permitted to use the Severn bridge in abnormal as well as normal traffic conditions;
(2) if he has any plans to strengthen the structure of the Severn bridge prior to the introduction of the proposals contained in the Armitage report and European Economic Community regulations.
