HC Deb 30 March 1981 vol 2 c7W
Mr. Stephen Ross

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he plans to amend the Matrimonial Proceedings (Polygamous Marriages) Act 1972.

The Attorney-General

I have been asked to reply.

Those provisions of the Matrimonial Proceedings (Polygamous Marriages) Act 1972 which applied, on enactment, to England and Wales were repealed by the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 and replaced by provisions in that Act to the same effect. There are no present plans for amendment.
