Mr. John Evans

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) what is the estimated cost of redundancy payments to the staff of the domestic services department at the police training college, Bruche, Warrington, who will be dismissed when the department is privatised in April 1982;

(2) what is the estimated annual saving to his Department of privatising the domestic services department of the police training college at Bruche, Warrington;

(3) if he has any plans to privatise any department other than the domestic services department at the police training college at Bruche, Warrington;

(4) what discussions he has had with the appropriate trades unions about the privatisation of the domestic services department of the police training college at Bruche, Warrington;

(5) how many people are currently employed in the domestic services department at the police training college at Bruche, Warrington; and what is the number in each grade;

(6) what is the current annual cost of running the domestic services department at the police training college, Bruche, Warrington; and what were the costs in each of the past five years.
