§ Dr. VaughanI visited Liverpool on 19 March to meet representatives of a number of bodies, including the250W Liverpool city council and the Liverpool area health authority (teaching) to hear their views on the Mersey regional health authority's proposals for changes in the structure of the NHS. I am grateful to all those I met for giving such a clear statement of their views, which my right hon. Friend and I will be considering very carefully. I know that hon. Members with constituencies in Liverpool are also anxious to let me know their views, and I shall see hon. Members at the House shortly.
