§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish in the Official Report a list of the charters of the Bank of England and the principal provisions falling within the ambit of section 3(3) of the Bank of England Act 1946.
§ Mr. LawsonThe only charter made under the provisions of section 3(3) of the 1946 Act is the Bank of England Charter dated 1 March 1946 (Cmnd. 6752), article 1 of which provides for the revocation of both the charter of 1694—with certain specified exceptions—and the supplemental charter of 1896.
