asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he has any further plans to improve the trunk road A44 between Aberyswyth and Ponterwyd during the next three years.

Consideration is being given to improvements listed below. Their timing is sbject to satisfactory completion of engineering design and of statutory processes and the availability of finance.

  1. (i) New footway and various traffic management measures at University College of Wales playing fields, Llanbadarn (adjacent to St. Padarn school).
  2. (ii) Installation of traffic signals in Llanbadarn Fawr Square.
  3. (iii) Junction improvement A.44/A4159 at Lovesgrove.
  4. (iv) Realignment of the carriageway at Blaengeuffordd.
  5. (v) Footway improvement between Penllwyn and Capel Bangor including a junction improvement at Melindwr Terrace.
  6. (vi) Footway improvement at Goginan village.
  7. (vii) Junction improvement at Ystumtuen.
