§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithWe have asked our special advisers to examine the marketing of fish. We have set up a small team of officials and industry representatives to investigate allegations by United Kingdom fishermen of illegal and unfair imports. We have secured an undertaking that the European Commission will examine the need for action to control cheap imports from third countries; and we are working within the Community on changes to the marketing regime which are required to make it more effective.
