§ Dr Roger Thomasasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take steps to ensure that surgical appliances, such as spinal and abdominal supports, specially designed shoes and so on, when not supplied free, but paid for by the patient, are not covered by value added taxation.
§ Mr. Peter ReesThe purchase of such surgical appliances by patients is already relieved of value added tax.
