§ Mr. GoodhartThe Government are giving renewed attention to defence sales. A number of important overseas visits are currently planned by Ministers. Liaison between Departments has been improved and consultation with industry has increased. We are actively reviewing the assistance which can be given to industry and ways in which our equipment can be made more competitive. The strong support given to defence sales is reflected in several major orders recently secured.
