§ Dr. VaughanBlood is given free to the National Blood Transfusion Service, which makes no charge for providing it to private hospitals. As I explained in my reply to the hon. Member for Wolverhampton North-East (Mrs. Short) on 18 February—[Vol. 999 c. 162]—I am considering whether a charge should be made to cover handling and processing costs.
