§ Mr. YoungerIn the latest six months the proportionate rise in Scottish unemployment has been less than in the United Kingdom overall. Consequently the unemployment relative—which expresses the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Scotland as a percentage of the comparable United Kingdom rate—fell from 132 in September 1980 to 120 in February 1981.
