§ Mr. PattieThe average cost of an RAF police patrol dog is between £700 and £800 per annum. There are at present a total 399 police dogs, of which 192 are based in the United Kingdom. Naval and Army establishments in 293W the United Kingdom currently employ 490 police, security and guard dogs making a United Kingdom total figure of 682.
