§ Mr. MacGregorOur present policies are creating the right long-term environment for a return to industrial prosperity. The real need is for greater competitiveness based on realistic working practices, sensible wage settlements and improved productivity, which can be achieved only by industry itself. The Government are playing their part by reducing inflation, restoring the incentive to enterprise, and creating the framework for that competitiveness to be re-established.
