§ Mr. MayhewIn making a supervision order under section 12 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1969 a court may require the supervised person to comply with such directions on certain specified matters as the supervising officer may give. These may include directions requiring participation in some form of intermediate treatment activity. The statistics on supervision orders collected centrally do not show the extent to which such intermediate treatment directions are given.
