HL Deb 04 March 1981 vol 417 c1495WA
Lord Houghton of Sowerby

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How the Advisory Committee on Animal Experiments is progressing with its work.

Lord Belstead

The advisory committee aims to complete its study of the framework of legislation to modernise and improve the Cruelty to Animals Act 1876 in the near future. It is continuing to advise on individual applications for authority under the Act to perform experiments involving stress or giving rise to other especially difficult issues.
