§ Mr. Georgeasked the Lord Privy Seal, pursuant to the reply to the hon. Member for Harlow (Mr. Newens), on 11 July 1980, Official Report, column 332, if he will now make representations to the South Korean authorities about the growing number of political detainees in that country.
§ Mr. HurdNo. A wide amnesty for over 5,200 prisoners has been declared in connection with the presidential inauguration on 3 March. Included in this number are detainees imprisoned under anti-Communist legislation and by martial law courts.
