§ Mr. McCuskerasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement about the discovery of firearms in the Lower School grounds, Armagh, on Sunday 15 February; and whether there is any evidence that these firearms were used in recent murders.
§ Mr. AlisonA pistol and ammunition were found under a hedge at the corner of a field in Nursery Road, Armagh by a UDR patrol carrying out a routine search on Sunday 15 February. I understand that this field does not belong to either of the schools in Nursery Road.
It would not be in the interests of security to reveal whether there is any evidence that this firearm had been used in any recent murders.
