§ Mr. WaddingtonThe cost to public funds of expenditure on unemployment and supplementary benefits for the unemployed in 1981–82 will be £2.8 billion in 1980 survey prices on the basis of the assumptions in this year's expenditure White Paper. These estimates make no allowance for loss of revenue from taxes and national insurance revenues for which accurate information is not available.
